Do you do consultations?
Consultations are performed at the beginning of your service appointment and are not booked separately. A consultation is a one-on-one conversation between the you and the stylist that is necessary to assess the current state of your hair, home care, and goals for the same.
What exactly is a Curly Cut?
A Curly Cut is a unique and specialized way of cutting curly hair. Hair is cut dry (since that's how hair is worn), using different angles, elevation levels, and taking into account the numerous curl patterns one may have as I shape your hair. This way, each client’s hair is shaped according to their curls or waves.
This technique gives best shape and longevity of the cut. My clients see me around every three months for curl health and maintenance.
Who is a Curly Cut for?
A Curly Cut is ideal for anyone with texture ranging from waves to tight coils. It’s fully customized, as it’s tailored to your unique curl pattern(s), its main principle is to work with the unique curl pattern of every person.
Best suited for clients who wear their hair curly/wavy in a natural wash and go style. The average curly has more than one texture/curl pattern upon thy head, so cutting the hair in a dry, wash and go state allows me to see how the various textures naturally fall and mold the desired shape from there.
Interesting fact: More than 60 percent of women have some kind of curl or wave to their hair, yet less than half of those ladies know how to properly care for their curls. The curly/dry cut method will give you great shape to rock your blessed crown, I will teach you how to care for your unique curl pattern at home and embrace an easy wash and style routine wherever you are.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
1. DETOX At least a week before your appointment, get ready to detox and clarify your hair if you use ANY products with silicones or oils in them. Start by shampooing your hair with an oil-free/silicone- free clarifying shampoo. The shampoo will be labeled “clarifying” or ‘detoxifying”.

2. CONDITION I recommend any conditioner by DevaCurl, Innersense, Olaplex.
3. STYLE Please arrive with your hair in a dry, wash and go curl style. You may have never attempted a Wash & Go before, and that's fine- just do your best. At your appointment, I will give you feedback and teach you how to achieve your best Wash & Go yet.
*** PLEASE DO NOT use bobby pins, ponytails, braids, buns ect on the day of your appointment. I need to see your natural curl pattern and how your hair falls in order to perform the cut properly. Your hair should be completely out in a Wash & Go.
How are appointments reserved?
When reserving an appointment with me, please know that you are reserving my time. An active credit or debit card to store on file is required to secure your appointment. By providing me with your credit card information, you agree to my cancellation terms of your card on file being charged if you breach the Cancellation Policy, miss your appointment time, or do not show up.
Appointment reminders requesting you to confirm your appointment with me are sent via text message and email three- to- four days in advance of all appointments- depending on the service. Please confirm your appointment via text by following the prompts from the confirmation message (the system will ask you to reply "Yes" to confirm your appointment). I request that all appointments be confirmed no later than 72- hours before the scheduled start time.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancelling and rescheduling appointments greatly affect my business. I understand situations occur and for that, I have the following Cancellation Policy in place: I ask that you let me know of any cancellations or reschedule requests at least 72 full hours before your appointment. Cancellations with less than 72 full hours notice (3 days from your appointment time) will be charged 100% of the service appointment. Rescheduling/ cancelling within 6 days to 73 hours prior will result in a non refundable $75 fee. I offer flexibility in cancelling or rescheduling anything over a week prior notice, as I understand situations arise.
